MEET THE CO-FOUNDERS
Miggy Mason and Roisin (Row-sheen) Giese are the principals and co-founders of Twelve Chairs Interiors.
“Twelve Chairs opened our eyes to the beauty of our place that we have taken for granted over the years. We fell in love with our place again because of them!”
MEET MIGGY
Influenced by her mother and grandmother, an appreciation for the arts and design was instilled in Miggy at an early age.
After stints in Paris, New York, and Seattle, she moved to Boston in 2010 to start Twelve Chairs with Roisin. Before her career in residential interiors, Miggy worked in sustainable business, historic preservation, and operations. After 10 years in Boston, her family embarked on a new adventure with a move to the Philadelphia area where she is delighted to be heading up the studio’s newest location in West Chester. In 2021, Miggy was appointed to West Chester’s Historical Commission where she serves as an advisor helping to implement the borough’s historic preservation plan. Miggy’s interests (other than interior design and historic architecture) include cooking for family and friends, growing a garden, and exploring the beautiful nature preserves and bucolic landscapes of Chester County with her husband and two little boys.
MEET ROISIN
Roisin realized her passion for interior design at the age of sixteen and never looked back.
She spent summers during college surrounded by the most beautiful textiles and furnishings at the storied Boston Design Center showroom, Webster and Company. After graduation, Roisin returned home to Boston to join the design team at Elkus Manfredi Architects. While she enjoyed the challenge of designing for companies, it quickly became evident that she wanted to design for families and not brands. It is now 10 years later and Roisin can confirm residential design was her true calling! In 2022, Roisin was selected as one of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 Award Winners. When not designing for clients, she can be found planning her family’s next adventure, hunting for antiques or renovating her 1926 Colonial home in Cohasset that she shares with her husband and two young boys.
