Welcome to The 1910 Brownstone Project
After outgrowing their downtown condo (which we designed in 2015), our clients moved to a 2700 square foot South End brownstone and called upon us to design a warm and sophisticated home with a neutral color palette. The scope entailed starting from scratch in their formal living room, dining room, nursery, and office and incorporating pieces from their condo into their new family room and master bedroom.
They planned to use the living room for family gatherings including watching television so in order to preserve the more formal feel of the room we procured a custom mirror that is transparent when the tv is turned on and when off hides the tv and reflects the statement chandelier.
“Understated patterns and textures rule in this serene, white living room. The fabrics employed are decidedly touchable, mostly linens in an array of ivory and soft gray tones. Darker taupe and bronze tones are dotted here and there for gentle contrast.”
